![]() In the manga, he is still pissed at King Edmaris when he came to the dungeon and confirms his appearance. In the anime, he only goes as far as Tranquil Fury, as we don't see his face, and he clearly hates having to kill so many humans to revive his friends. The moment he used Megiddo, he gave up his heart as a human and embraced having to dirty his hands. He struggled with the idea that he had to truly kill another human directly. In the manga, he was completely and utterly pissed as all hell when he sees the corpses of his fallen citizens, including Shion. The anime handles how he becomes a True Demon Lord differently. The anime in particular practically makes him an All-Loving Hero who'll extend a helping hand to anyone who asks, even an enemy if they prove willing, though still willing to destroy or absorb anyone who rejects it and keeps trying to hurt his people, as well as noting that his subordinates can often end up twisting his arm to lend aid. The manga and anime downplays how he doesn't really trust the people he works with and that he isn't really against killing or anything, he just hasn't felt a need to engage in wholesale slaughter. As if to lampshade this, the very first punchline in the show is a Serious Business round table discussion involving all of Tempest's officers to decide on whether or not Rimuru would look better in a blue or yellow frilly dress. The manga spinoff The Slime Dairies and its respective anime adaptation give Rimuru a lot of Puni Plush, to the point where one would be forgiven for mistaking him as girl. Not that he's unattractive in the light novels, but the anime really amps up his human form's cute facial features so that he's far more of a pretty boy.Adaptation Dye-Job: In the original web novel his slime form and hair are white, but the light novel and subsequent adaptations change this to pale blue.Rimuru makes an entire army of them entirely by accident. Most Demon Lords presumably only Name their closest associates due to the risks involved which creates a cadre of evolved monsters to be their right hands. This basically ends up with Rimuru minting high-level magic born by the gross lot. Not only did naming these monsters make them more powerful, often allowing them to evolve into greater forms, but also during the Harvest Festival when Rimuru awakened as a True Demon Lord it resulted in ALL of the monsters he named getting another power boost. From the very beginning, Rimuru's act of naming monsters willy-nilly creates a Lineage that links him to these monsters at the soul level. This causes his fellow Demon Lords no end of consternation. Due to the difficulty involved in demons remaining manifested long term on the material plane, Rimuru's Black Numbers are basically the closest thing in the setting to mortals employing the Legions of Hell as combat troops. ![]() Of particular note is that, until informed of the fact, Rimuru had no idea he was employing four of the seven Primordial Demons. The acquisition of some of his abilities during his reincarnation also counts, as the "Voice of the World" interpreted his dying ramblings as wishes for certain abilities. ![]() So much so that Storm Dragon Veldora, in his side stories, can't tell if Rimuru is an unparalleled strategic genius, or a total moron.Upon awakening as a True Demon Lord, Rimuru has four of these. They are so rare that even some True Demon Lords and heroes do not possess one. Possessing one makes you a Reality Warper capable of imposing your will upon the very physical laws of the universe. To drive this home, Ultimate Skills are the pinnacle of power. ![]() They're later revealed to be potent enough to regenerate lost limbs. One of the first things he accomplishes upon being reborn is create a huge stockpile of healing potions from the plants he's been devouring.
